I'm back

Thanks to my good friend Heather for inspiring me to get back to this. I've been thinking about it but never know what to write about.

So since it has been a year since my last post I'll just give a quick recap...

The beginning of the year was pretty slow for us, I was sick a lot so we just hung out at home. In June Hailey turned 4 and then we went on vacation for a couple of weeks. In August, Joshua turned 2. In September Hailey started preschool and she loves it!!!!!

Ok it's time for lunch for the kids so I gotta go for now. I'll try to keep up better with this now.

Idols in Idaho

On July 30th, the American Idols were in town and we had the privilege of seeing them in concert. It was absolutely amazing, they put on such a GREAT show. We really didn't know what to expect, since there were 10 Idols we didn't know if everyone would do a couple of solos, or if they would do all group songs or what. They did a little bit of everything, group, duets and solos. They sounded sooooo awesome!!!!!!!
Sometimes people don't sound all that great in person, where as on a cd they can change things with all their fancy equipment they use. But the Idols were great!
It was fun to see the wide range of people in the audience, such a big age range! We had the squealy 10 years olds, the "Oh I'm soooo cool" teenagers, our age, and a lot of elderly people. It was so fun to watch them "get their groove on" while the idols were singing. One little grandma in front of us was really getting into and then she got a wine cooler during the 2nd half of the show, and well she really put on a show for us...hehehe. To funny!!!

Blake did some of his beat-boxin and that was awesome. Lakeisha gave us goosebumps on a couple of songs that she sang and Jordin..wow! Sanjaya got the people screaming for him and it was nuts!!! I have to admit he wasn't to bad, he didn't do anything crazy with his hair during the concert. It was either down or he had a hat on. Melinda was marvelous and really knew how to belt it out.
We had pretty good seats, we were in the 2nd section on the floor. They were good seats, but still not quite close enough. I took a lot of pictures so I probably looked like a freak, but I don't care...only a handful came out nice and clear. They will definitely be fun to scrapbook that is for sure!!!!!

Anyway, if you get the chance to see them, I would highly recommend it. They were fantabulous!!!!!
I posted a few other pics of the concert on my myspace page if you want to check them out.
This was my 2nd season of watching American Idol and I have to say I'm totally hooked on it. Can't wait until January for the new season to start up.

Introduction

I finally decided to take the plunge and start a blog like a lot of people have done. I thought this would be a fun and easy to keep everyone up to date on how life is going with us. We still have our webpage, but we don't get that updated very often, so we will give this shot. I will be able to fill you in, along with adding a couple of photos.
Our family consists of Bill, Lacy, Hailey and Joshua, along with our pets Squirt (our dog) and our two cats Mittens and Bubba.

Bill is 28 and a graduate of Meridian High School, Class of 97', also a college Grad from BSU in 2001. He is a Firmware Engineer and enjoys what he does. He has been able to travel a little bit with his job, which has been a good experience.

I (Lacy) am 32. I graduated from Meridian High School in 93', also a college Grad from CSI (College of Southern Idaho) in 1995. I am a Stay At Home Mom and love my job. The kids keep me on my toes. I enjoy scrap booking on my spare time, which is rare right now. I also like taking pictures of my kids.

Hailey is 3. She enjoys singing, coloring and playing with her little brother. Her favorite shows are Barney, Dora, Diego, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Miss Spider. She is in gymnastics and loves it, she is doing very well.

Joshua is 10 1/2 months. He is our little monster, he is into everything! He is a handful, but keeps us entertained as well. It shouldn't be too long before he is walking around by himself, which will really keep us running. He loves to play in the water, eat and make a mess. He is all boy!!!

We have been very blessed in our life together and I couldn't ask for anything more. We enjoy traveling as a family and just being together.
